About Hassan Shibly

Childhood and Education
Hassan was born in Syria's Damascus. He immigrated to the United States at the age of four. Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Magna Cum Laureate University. He attended the University at Buffalo School of Law, where he graduated near the top of his class, on a number of scholarship scholarships.
Career
Shibly clerked for the Honorable Eugene H. Nickerson in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York following his graduation from law school. Before moving to Tampa, Florida to become the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CAIR-Florida, the state's largest Muslim civil rights organization, he worked as an attorney at two prestigious law firms in New York City.
Under the direction of Hassan, CAIR-Florida has become one of the nation's leading Muslim civil rights organizations. He has also played a significant role in forming alliances with people of various religions and ethnicities.
Hassan Shibly is not only the CEO of CAIR-Florida, but also a licensed attorney in the state of Florida. He has represented Muslim clients across the nation who were victims of discrimination, harassment, and violations of civil rights. Additionally, he offers free legal assistance to low-income individuals and families in the Tampa Bay area.
Shibly spreads his message of justice and civil rights through public speaking and social media marketing, lobbying and political advocacy, traditional media appearances and interviews, and fundraising.
He has also founded an Islamic educational publishing house and Help Yateem USA. A charity dedicated to empowering orphans in Africa. Hassan has raised millions of dollars for a variety of worthy causes, including the protection of civil rights in the United States and the assistance of people in other countries.
As an attorney, Mr. Shibly has represented Muslim victims of discrimination, harassment, and civil rights violations across the nation.
